The Council’s accounts have been sent for independent assessment as per current procedures, however, from 27th June anyone wishing to inspect these accounts can make an appointment with the Town Clerk.  Please find further details on the Council noticeboards.  Please note the accounts available to view are subject to external audit.

Each year the small authority’s Annual Governance and Accountability Return (AGAR) needs to be reviewed by an external auditor appointed by Small Authorities’ Audit Appointments Ltd.  The unaudited AGAR has been published with this Notice of Public Rights Publication of Unaudited Annual Governance Accountability Return – TC Website .  As it has yet to be reviewed by the appointed auditor, PKF Littlejohn, it is subject to change as a result of that review.

Any person interested has the right to inspect and make copies of the accounting records for the financial year to which the audit relates and all books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers, receipts and other documents relating to those records must be made available for inspection by any person interested.  For the year end 31st March 2018, these documents will be available on reasonable notice by application to:

Town Clerk, Whitchurch Town Council, Civic Centre, High Street, Whitchurch  SY13 1AX

commencing on:  Wednesday 27th June 2018

and ending on:  Tuesday 7th August 2018
