Role

The role of the Full Council is oversee the work of the Council Committees as well as:  adoptions of strategic papers, for example, the Corporate Strategy, policies and constitution and governance documents; to deal with all actions outside policy; adopt strategic documents not drafted by Council, for example, the Town Plan, Place Plan and SAMDev; to elect Mayors and Committee representatives, as well as electing members to outside organisations; to deal with all elections; the appointment of Town Clerk and is the governing body for the Whitchurch Museum accreditation.
